Toddler Feeding Supplies
Before we get to the meals, I wanted to start by sharing some of our favorite toddler meal time supplies. You don’t need anything fancy to serve your toddler meals, but having the right gear can definitely help make meal time a little easier on everyone! Here are some of our tried-and-true favorites:
EZPZ Mini Play Mat: perfect for snack plate lunches or for picky eaters. We love the mini play mat and I swear my boys eat so much better when we use this plate! Its made of non-toxic silicone and is dishwasher safe (mom win)! Take 25% Off Orders $75+ at EZPZ with Code EZPZ25LOVE
Annova Toddler Silverware: this set is the perfect size and shape for 1-2 year old toddlers learning to use real silverware. I love the small details like the engraved animals at the base and they have held up great in the dishwasher!
OXO Grape Cutter: we have tried other brands and this one is honestly the best! If you don’t have a grape cutter, run and go grab this! Its so affordable and makes your life so much easier!
1-2 Year Old Toddler Breakfast Ideas
Toddler Meal Idea #1: Eggy Pizza
Scramble eggs with your toddler’s favorite toppings (we had tomato, spinach, and cheese), before it finishes cooking top with a tortilla and let it cook 30 seconds until set, then flip the tortilla and eggs over and cook until the bottom of the tortilla is crips. Top with ketchup if your toddler likes it (mine are obsessed!) and serve with a side of oranges.
Easy Toddler Meal #2: Veggies Made Great Muffin
Try these blueberry oat muffins with veggies from Veggies Made Great or make your own blueberry muffins with the help of your toddler. Side of mandarin orange.
Toddler Meal/Snack #3: Loaded Yogurt Bowl
Start with whole milk greek yogurt or blend up your toddler’s favorite smoothie and then top with their favorite toppings. We had strawberries, blueberries, and chia seeds! Other topping idea include: granola, shredded wheat cereal, kiwi, mandarin oranges, raspberries, flax seeds or hemp hearts. Fun Toddler Meal #4: Mini Breakfast Burrito
Scramble eggs with all your toddler’s favorites (we did spinach, sweet pepper, and cheese) and spread into a small tortilla. Roll up tightly and cut in half (or cut into slices to make breakfast burrito sushi). Side of bacon and sour cream for dipping.
1-2 Year Old Toddler Lunch Ideas
Toddler Meal Idea #5: Turkey Snack Plate
Use a non-divided plate or your EZPZ Mini Play Mat to make a snack plate with all your toddler’s favorites. We did turkey lunch meat, whole milk string cheese, grapes (quarter for younger toddlers), peas and carrots, banana, and dry cereal.
Easy Toddler Meal #6: Veggie Corn Dog
We love the veggie corn dogs from MorningStar Farms and serve with ketchup on the side. For younger toddlers be sure to slice length wise since hot dogs can be a chocking risk. Side of whole milk string cheese and mandarin oranges.
Easy 1 Year Old Lunch #7: Cereal Snack Plate
Put all your toddler’s favorite snacks and sides on a non-divided plate or your EZPZ Mini Play Mat. We had dry cereal, provolone cheese, apricots, cucumbers with ranch, banana, and cheese crackers.
Toddler Meal Idea #8: Ranch Pasta Salad
Pasta salad made with cold pasta, ranch, olives, cheese, and chicken. Its so easy to make on your own and save it for more lunches! Side of strawberries and thinly sliced carrots with hummus.
Easy Toddler Meal #9: Grilled Cheese Roll Up Snack Plate
Use a non-divided plate or your EZPZ Mini Play Mat to make a snack plate with grilled cheese roll ups. Take a slice of bread, cut off the crust, and roll out with a rolling pin or heavy glass. Spread with shredded cheese, roll up tightly, and fry in butter like normal grilled cheese. Side of laughing cow chickpea cheese, raisins, grapes (quarter for young toddlers), graham crackers, and strawberries.
Quick & Easy Toddler Meal #10: Cheese & Crackers
We love whole wheat table crackers topped with sliced colby jack cheese. Side of turkey and mandarin oranges. Like a homemade toddler lunchable, but cheaper and with more wholesome ingredients!
Toddler Meal Idea #11: Cheese Quesadilla Snack Plate
Cheese quesadilla made on corn (or flour) tortillas with hummus for dipping. Sides of cucumber, shredded cheese, grapes (quarter for young toddlers) and strawberries.
1-2 Year Old Toddler Dinner Ideas
Toddler Meal #12: Mac & Cheese with Hot Dogs & Peas
Macaroni and cheese (we like Annie’s Homegrown) with hot dogs (we like Applegate Hotdogs) and peas stirred in. Sides of sweet potato fries and baked beans.
Toddler Dinner Idea #13: Homemade Hamburger
Homemade hamburger with cheese and ketchup (make a thinner patty for your toddler). Sides of grilled corn on the cob, avocado, and tomato.
Toddler Meal Idea #14: Sheet Pan Chicken and Veggies
Throw it all on a sheet pan for an easy one-pan meal! Baked chicken with ranch for dipping, cubed sweet potato, and broccoli. Simple and pleasing!
Fun Toddler Meal Idea #15: Deconstructed Tostadas
Serve tostadas or tacos deconstructed to make it a little easier for your toddler to eat (this also helps keep foods separate for picky eaters or to help introduce new foods in small portions). Side of lettuce with ranch, smashed black beans, and avocado tomato salad.
