A lightly sweetened pumpkin cold brew recipe using coffee concentrate, pumpkin puree, milk, simple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice.

This recipe is perfect for fall or can be enjoyed all year round! Lightly sweetened pumpkin cold brew has a comforting and savory taste of pumpkin, and a subtle sweetness that makes it incredibly drinkable and refreshing.

What Ingredients Are Used for Lightly Sweetened Pumpkin Cold Brew?

Pumpkin cold brew can be made with just a few simple ingredients you might already have on hand or can easily pick up.

  • Javy Coffee Concentrate: this is the secret weapon for my pumpkin cold brew recipe! Using regular coffee can sometimes make coffee drinks watered down or bitter. You just need 1-2 tsp (I recommend 2 tsp) of Javy Coffee Concentrate in this drink to make it creamy and delicious. You can order Javy Coffee Concentrate here: Try Javy Coffee
  • Milk: I recommend whole or 2% milk for the best taste and froth, but fat free or non-dairy milk will work as well.
  • Pumpkin Puree: make sure to buy canned pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling. I like to stock up when its on sale during the fall.
  • Simple Syrup: i’ll show you how to make your own with two simple ingredients! If you have pre-made simple syrup, that will work too.
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice: sprinkle it on top for a little added spice and flavor.

Recommended Supplies

Handheld Milk Frother: I have this small (but mighty) and affordable milk frother and it’s the best for whipping up warm or cold foam quickly! It also has much less parts to clean than your larger milk frothers. I love it and would highly recommend it!

Javy Coffee Concentrate has the perfect smooth, bold, non bitter flavor for this recipe! Its much cheaper and easier than buying cold brew at the grocery store and it comes in a compact eco-friendly glass bottle.

Modifications

Sweeter Drink: If you like your coffee sweeter, try doubling the simple syrup and using 2 Tbsp of water and 2 Tbsp of sugar to make your drink.

Weaker or Stronger Drink: after testing different coffee ratios, I’ve found that 2 tsp of Javy Coffee Concentrate works well in this drink to balance out the sweet and nuttiness of the pumpkin puree. If you like your coffee weaker or stronger try adding 1-3 tsp of Javy Coffee Concentrate to yours.

Out of Pumpkin: Pumpkin puree adds a pretty color and flavor to this drink, but if its out of season or you don’t have it on hand try doubling the pumpkin pie spice instead.

Milk Alternative: whole or 2% milk is the best for creating delicious coffee drinks and perfect cold foam, but if you would prefer fat free or non-dairy milk you can use that as well, although it likely won’t froth as well.
