1. Graco Pack ‘n Play
Graco Pack ‘n Play Deluxe Bassinet
We love this all-in-one pack ‘n play. It’s great to use as a playpen, bassinet, changing table, place to set baby while you cook or clean (or rest!), and also a travel crib. We opted for the deluxe version that included the raised basinet attachment, rocker, and changing table and would highly recommend it.
The bassinet portion is great for when baby is younger (can’t sit up yet) so that you don’t have to constantly bend to the bottom of the pack n’ play. We kept it in our living room and used it as a playpen until about 6 months old.
The rocker attachment is a great place to set newborns so they feel sung and cozy and its an added bonus that you can safely put it in the pack ‘n play so its up off the floor.
The changing table is awesome if you have a large house and want multiple diaper changing stations.
2. Bottle Warmer
A bottle warmer is a must-have for us. Some may disagree, but if you do use bottles, having a quick and easy way to heat up the breast milk or formula is super helpful. Microwaves can cause hot spots and may limit the nutrients in your breast milk or formula so they are not recommended.
We used this simple bottle warmer with both of our babies and it worked perfectly! We also used the Phillip Avent Natural bottles and they fit great in the bottle warmer (most standard sized bottles will work.
3. Sound Machine
Hatch Baby Rest+ Sound Machine
Most babies will sleep much better with white noise; they spent 9 months in the womb which is actually pretty loud with the constant sound of blood flow and your heart beat along with all the sounds of the world around you.
We love our Hatch Baby Rest sound machine and use it every time one of our children takes a nap or sleeps at night. It helps drown out the other noises in the house and is a must-have if your kids share a wall or share a room so they don’t wake each other up. I also like that this one is a night-light for those night time feeds and an okay-to-wake clock for toddlers.
4. Baby Carrier
We are believers in baby-wearning! Its so easy to babywear on-the-go instead of brining a stroller, especially at outdoor events or crowded places. With a second child its also so much easier to chase after an older sibling when you are babywearing!
We love the Lillebaby carrier for newborns, older infants who can face out, and toddlers to wear in the backpack carry. If you don’t think you want to babywear, let this carrier change your mind!
5. Portable Chair/High Chair
Summer Infant Pop N’ Sit Booster
Most mamas remember to register for a highchair, but might forget one for traveling or being out-and-about.
We love love love this Summer Infant portable high chair. It is great for babies who can sit unassisted up through toddlerhood, so you will definitely get a lot of use out of it.
We have used this at rental houses and hotel when traveling, outdoor festivals, and restaurants that don’t have good high chairs. Plus, its super adorable!
